SlimSearch
Description:
A Firefox extension that allows quick and easy Web searches on text
found on any Web page. Google is extensively used for many search types.
The focus is on simplicity of utilization: less
is more.
Download and install: SlimSearch has been accepted and is now
available on mozilla.org:

Then right-click on the selection. A little window will appear. Look for the SlimSearch menu.
Now click on the "Normal Search" option. A new browser window or tab will open, containing a normal Google search for the word you selected ("expression").
But perhaps you want to know the precise meaning of the word "expression"? No problem, instead of "Normal Search", select "Dictionary". This is the result:
You're reading the sports news. OK, so Tiger Woods got married. Fine. But who's the bride of the famous golfer?
That's rather easy: as shown in the image above, select her name, right-click, go to SlimSearch, select "Google Images". This is the result:
Way to go, Tiger! :-) You're reading up on Google and you come across their corporate Web page with the address of their headquarters. You want to see the map of the location with all the streets in the neighborhood.
That's easy: select the whole address, right-click, go to SlimSearch, click on Google Maps. This is what you get:
You're browsing the Web and you come across this nifty player called the iPod. You like it, you want to buy it but you want the best deal.
Select the word "iPod", right-click, go to SlimSearch, go to Froogle. This is what you obtain:
